HACG COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP OVERVIEW

The Housing Authority of the City of Goldsboro Scholar Program was established in 2017 with a focus on significantly increasing the number of public housing students that are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education.  Because we pride ourselves on community involvement, in 2021 we awarded scholarship support to a student within our local Goldsboro community!

The HACG Community Scholarship is currently available to graduating seniors that plan on pursuing their education at a trade school, community college, or four-year university.

Students that meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply. Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, statement of goals and aspirations, and unusual personal or family circumstances.

Scholarship award amounts may vary and will be paid directly to the recipient's school for tuition, books, and fees.
